Mr. Smith's 7th Grade

Classroom Policy

My classroom policy is simple. There are three aspects and they are as follows:

1.     Be on Time

a.    The first step to learning is being in the classroom

b.    Students who arrive late:

                                         i.     must have a tardy slip from the office

ii.    Must go to their seat in a non-disruptive manner

iii.    Failure to do so will result in a conference with parents and principal  it may also result in a referral for repeated offenses

2.    Be Prepared

a.    In order to be prepared you must have something appropriate to write with, your textbook (if required), a notebook, any homework that is due, and a folder

b.    If you are not prepared it is your responsibility to remedy the problem without disrupting the class.

c.    If you are a repeat offender we will have a conference with parents and principal to discuss a possible solution

3.    Be Ready to Learn

a.    This means follow the first two guidelines and stay on task.

b.    We do not have time for disruptions during lessons and for these you will be sent to the office with a referral

                                         i.    Examples of disruptions:

1.     Name calling, loud and/or obnoxious behavior, being disrespectful to others,  or horseplay

ii.    Disruptions of this nature will result in a referral and a conference with the principal—according to the school handbook

I have read the above policy explaining the classroom policies,  and I fully understand it. I agree to adhere to these stipulations and if there are any questions I will contact the teacher and/or administration.
